Why Mus'haf Cases?

‘Mus’haf’ is an Arabic word for a collection of sheets, but it also refers to a written copy of the Quran.

During the prophet Muhammad ﷺ’s lifetime, the chapters of the Quran were revealed over a number of 23 years. During this time, they were written on various pieces of paper. Two decades later, these papers were compiled into one volume under the third caliph, Uthman ibn Affan (RA), and this collection of sheets has formed the basis of all written copies of the Mus'haf | Quran to the present day.
